A ski helmet is a piece of protective gear that is worn by skiers and snowboarders to protect their heads from injury in the event of a fall or collision. Ski helmets are typically made of a hard plastic or resin shell with a soft inner padding.
The use of ski helmets has become increasingly common in recent years, and they are now considered to be an essential piece of safety equipment for anyone who is going to be skiing or snowboarding. Studies have shown that ski helmets can significantly reduce the risk of head injury, and many ski resorts now require all skiers and snowboarders to wear helmets.
Reclaim is partnering with a local sports equipment company to recycle ski helmets for recycling. The locals got in touch with us through the Recycling Council of British Columbia (RCBC). The locals, then, informed their desire to recycle this material and to divert the helmets away from the landfill. Afterwards, they arranged an appointment to drop-off the ski helmets for recycling and with our yard, we were able to accommodate several boxes of helmets. The helmets is currently being tested in our laboratory for their components. The next step is then to decontaminate and to size-reduce this material.
As various amount of material come like Ocean Plastics, Commercial Glass, and others, we are always able to devise a tailor-made recycling solutions for your company. We are always prepared to help you and/or your company be a part of our sustainability partners.
